Height monitoring is a great complement to weight tracking for parents who wish to have a full overview of their baby’s growth. We made it very simple and informative: a thumb swipe is all you need to record a new measurement, and it will display the height gain from the last record just like that. And of course, a height chart shows the evolution of records over time, along with percentile references from World Health Organisation.

Benefits of using Le Baby as a height tracker

Efficient. As for all other type of entries, growth record can be done in a matter of seconds with practical and beautiful custom sliders.

Use it with one hand. By placing most buttons in the bottom part of the screen, and by letting users open the menu by pulling the journal down, we made sure parents could record growth values with just one free hand. Editing time is also possible using the thumb with our custom component replacing the native vertical wheels which can be cumbersome to use sometimes.

Shared. With journal sharing over iCloud, both parents get the update on their device as soon as it’s added. This happens using iCloud, so it’s easy to set up and completely private. You won’t receive vitamin drops spams by using Le Baby.

Switch from metric to imperial at will. This is pretty niche but still: you can switch from using metric to US imperial units from the entry screen. This will be handy for traveling or bi-national couples.

Height recording screen. It displays the height difference from the last record just below the new weight value. Tapping the value switches from centimetres to inches.

Height chart, with WHO percentiles. You can ,instantly export an image of the chart from the app and share it, using the little frame icon in the middle.

What are percentiles?

They let you know how you baby compares to most babies on earth. If your baby’s height is inside the 70 percentile range, it means that your baby’s height is comparable to 70 babies out of 100 of the same age. If your baby’s height is above the 94 percentile range, it means that there are only 3 babies (100 minus 94, divided by 2 because we’re only looking at the ones above) out of a 100 who are as tall as yours at the same age.
