It is now possible for several people to participate in the same baby journal, each from their own iPhone. Journal sharing makes it easy to hand over baby care at home, for babysittings or at grandparents stays.
Like all Le Baby features, journal sharing has been designed to be very easy to use, and to respect our clients’ privacy.
Real simple
Le Baby uses iCloud to share data, so there’s no need for another account creation. To share a journal, one simply invite other participants from within the app, and shares an invitation link with them. After installing Le Baby on their iPhone or iPad, they simply tap the link they received to join the journal. All participants will then be able to view and participate to the journal.
100% privacy
Le Baby uses the latest security enhancements offered by Apple on iOS 15. Journal data is stored on participants’ iCloud accounts, and protected by end-to-end encryption: only participants can view it. Neither we, nor Apple, nor anyone else can read what is written in Le Baby.

Questions and answers
Who can add and remove participants? Only the person who initially created and shared the journal can add and remove participants. When a person is removed from the participants, he/she loses access to the journal immediately.
What data do participants have access to? Participants can view and modify all the entries in the journal, and add new ones. Edits are visible to all. The sleep timer is visible to all participants. The breastfeeding timer is not synchronized: the entry will only appear to other participants once breastfeeding is over. The name, picture and theme of the diary are not synchronized between participants, so that each person can personalise them as they wish.
How does end-to-end encryption work? The encryption feature relies entirely on the latest security features offered by Apple in iOS 15. It is the same protection used by iOS to protect your passwords, health data or payment information. More details are available here.
