Sharing with your partner

Records can be synced between iOS devices within seconds. It’s a great way to facilitate transmission of feedings, diaper changes or vitamin intake when you take shifts in the first weeks. And if you like a little more spice, you can invite your mother-in-law.

Le Baby app is a baby tracker to share with your partner. This animated gif shows device A adding a bottle feeding to the baby journal, and device B receiving this update a few seconds later.

It works with your existing iCloud® account: easy to set up, and private by design. We, at Le Baby HQ, can’t see what’s shared, nor who shares with who. As it should be.

All baby essentials

A newborn in your life means a lot of new things to remember and a lot of responsibilities, at a moment where you’re not at your best. Le Baby was designed so you can record all your babies updates in a couple seconds, and review them later just as easily.

Ten icons representing the entry types Le Baby app can record: breastfeeding monitoring, diaper tracking, sleep tracking, height tracking, head size, bottle feeding monitoring, vitamin tracking, notes, weight tracking, and temperature monitoring.

Ergonomics for your new sleepless life

We’re sorry, but you’ll be a bit of a mess for some time. Don’t worry, we made it simple for you: no clutter, large buttons, and huge swipe zones. Your clumsy fingers and your nerves will love it.

Breastfeeding ready

Le Baby has a great breastfeeding timer which reminds mothers the side to choose next. Start it with a tap as soon as you launch the app if you have your phone at hand when breastfeeding. But you also can record one after the fact through the regular menu.

Beyond the first weeks

Le Baby can be useful after you start feeling comfortable with your baby’s feeding. Coupled with journal sharing, vitamin tracking helps make sure none of these drops of vitamin D get skipped. Temperature tracking for the inevitable fever episodes and growth tracking are also nice to haves in the first years.

Private means private

As unusual it is these days for an app not to suck every bit of data about its users it can to turn a profit, here we are: we know nothing about what happens on Le Baby. Rihanna could be using it and we wouldn’t know. It’s private by default, built so users always know where their data gets to. Learn more.

Multiple babies

Congrats congrats (congrats)!!! Le Baby lets you add as much babies as you need to. There are multiple color themes to choose from for each journal, so you instantly know which baby you’re currently viewing when opening the app, or when adding a new entry. Swipe left and right to navigate between them. Combined with journal sharing, Le Baby becomes a life saver for parents with twins, triplets or more.

Charts

Ours are nice to look at. Get another perspective on all these entries you added for short term memory benefits. 24h charts will show you how your baby’s feeding and sleeping patterns evolve day after day towards a less overwhelming schedule; they will give you hope. Growth charts include WHO percentile references so you can see how your baby compares to others on the planet.

Awake at night 🦉

Nobody likes getting dazzled by a screen in the dark. Le Baby comes with Dark Mode and an additional Night Mode that automatically switches on when the phone senses a very dark setting. You’ll save your eyeballs, your baby won’t be disturbed while feeding, and your partner might fall back to sleep a bit faster. Learn more

What parents are saying

Discovered late for our first child in 2019, we hadn’t needed it for very long. But what a pleasure to find this app for our new child as soon as he was born. Syncing between the 2 parents’ phones is just too good 😍

My wife and I have tried many apps, but this is absolutely the best. No subscription, no accounts, and a nice, modern interface. Syncing data always works and without delay. The creators respond quickly to questions and are extremely helpful. 👏

Still expecting?

Our trial isn’t time based so you can give it a try, and still use it for free in the first days with your baby. Set up a test profile with your baby’s current surname, and add your baby at birth with just a tap.

FAQs

What’s the main plus compared to other baby tracker apps?

Ease of use, simplicity and privacy is what users most comment about in their feedback. One hand use is always highly appreciated because it makes it possible to record updates in situations you wouldn’t be comfortable writing a quick message. The app doesn’t try to do everything and does very well what it proposes. Knowing that notes can’t technically be read by anyone else than those you invite to sharing (in the event that you do) makes it a great place to take written notes about issues or very personal anecdotes. We also have vitamin tracking, which combined with journal sharing with your partner will prevent you to shout across the house the question DID YOU GET HER THE VITAMIN YET!!!??? every now and then for a few weeks.

Should I use a baby tracker?

It really depends on how you feel about parenting, and how is your baby. If you’re feeling confident about this, if you get advice from people you trust around you, and if your baby is healthy, you probably don’t need a baby tracker, just as all our ancestors did. Unless you’re a data enthusiast and it’s only natural for you to document these intense first weeks – our baby journal is exportable as a simply structured csv file. But if you feel like having a memory helper will help you tune your intuition about your baby’s behaviour, and help you exchange with nurses and paediatricians, there’s nothing wrong with using one. The goal of this tool is to help parents get to the point where they feel confident about their new role.

What should I keep track of with my newborn?

Feeding is often the most common thing parents keep track of, to make sure that their baby gets enough to eat. Tracking feeding includes breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and diapers; it’s the whole transit. Sleeping comes second. Vitamin drops to make sure you don’t skip them too much is also good. Growth tracking on the app can be a great complement of the paper based version your paediatrician might fill at every visit.

Is it better to feed a newborn on a schedule or on demand?

This is the kind of questions you won’t be finding answers to here, sorry. Le Baby is a tool to let you take notes of your newborn feeding and sleeping the most efficient way possible. But it’s not here to tell you when to feed your baby, or how much, or if it’s better to have him/her fed on a schedule compared to on demand. Each baby is different, each generation of parents gets different advice, each culture has its approach, and we’re not going to step in on this one, sorry. But maybe don’t rely solely on internet advice for this, talk to people and ask questions if some aspect of their question seem blurry to you.

What age should you stop tracking a baby?

There is no correct answer to this question, it really depends on why you keep a record in the first place. As said above, as soon as you feel confident that you understand your baby’s needs and can respond to it accordingly, there are not many reasons to keep tracking, besides a documenting effort bordering with data nerdery.
